Lilies of the Field

Lilies of the Field celebrates the vast variety of lilies available today for the avid gardener. Many different varieties are depicted in this charming design, ranging in hue from sunny yellow through dark oranges, a salmon pink and a ruby red. All are gathered into a golden pot, which is executed in couchée rentre.

Students will learn to perfect their long and short technique in one of the flowers; the remaining flowers are worked in traditional canvaswork stitches that will challenge even the most experienced embroiderers. Other elements are worked in a variety of interesting stitches derived from embroidery.
